I was so excited to receive The Wedding Crasher, book three of the Lana Malloy Paranormal Mystery Series written by Kim Cox, as a prize during the Rave Reviews Book Club’s Virtual Conference earlier in December.
So despite all the December activity I was glad to put my feet up and read something cosy and romantic – just right for a lazy Saturday afternoon. Kim has an easy way with words and I read the book in one sitting. If you like cosy mystery with a bit of clean romance, I’m sure you’ll like reading this story or for that matter, any of the other books in this series.
Here is my review called:
Format: Kindle Edition
The author uses both descriptive and specific scene setting very successfully throughout her book and this helps to drive the plot, which I felt was sometimes a bit too transparent, having ghosts to give her clues, Lana knew a lot of facts quite quickly and that knowledge somehow took away from the overall enjoyment of the story. I liked that there was real nail-biting tension towards the end and would have liked to have seen more of this. Nevertheless, I think Lana and her new husband, Tony Calabria make a fine likable couple. If you want an easy read with a satisfactory end, this book is for you. Enjoy!
